Stone Soup
Author Unknown
Many years ago three soldiers, hungry and weary of battle,
came upon a small village. The villagers, suffering a
meager harvest and the many years of war, quickly hid what
little they had to eat and met the three at the village
square, wringing their hands and bemoaning the lack of
anything to eat.
The soldiers spoke quietly among themselves and the first
soldier then turned to the village elders. "Your tired
fields have left you nothing to share, so we will share
what little we have: the secret of how to make soup from
stones."
Naturally the villagers were intrigued and soon a fire was
put to the town's greatest kettle as the soldiers dropped
in three smooth stones. "Now this will be a fine soup",
said the second soldier; "but a pinch of salt and some
parsley would make it wonderful!" Up jumped a villager,
crying "What luck! I've just remembered where some's been
left!" And off she ran, returning with an apronful of
parsley and a turnip. As the kettle boiled on, the memory
of the village improved: soon barley, carrots, beef and
cream had found their way into the great pot, and a cask of
wine was rolled into the square as all sat down to feast.
They ate and danced and sang well into the night, refreshed
by the feast and their new-found friends. In the morning
the three soldiers awoke to find the entire village
standing before them. At their feet lay a satchel of the
village's best breads and cheese. "You have given us the
greatest of gifts: the secret of how to make soup from
stones", said an elder, "and we shall never forget." The
third soldier turned to the crowd, and said: "There is no
secret, but this is certain: it is only by sharing that we
may make a feast". And off the soldiers wandered, down the
road.

"Do You Hold true To Your Values, Dreams and Aspiration Even In The Face Of Adversity?"
Keep your dream
by: Author Unknown
I have a friend named Monty Roberts who owns a horse ranch
in San Ysidro. He has let me use his house to put on
fund-raising events to raise money for youth at risk
programs.
The last time I was there he introduced me by saying, “I
want to tell you why I let Jack use my horse. It all goes
back to a story about a young man who was the son of an
itinerant horse trainer who would go from stable to stable,
race track to race track, farm to farm and ranch to ranch,
training horses. As a result, the boy’s high school career
was continually interrupted. When he was a senior, he was
asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do
when he grew up.
“That night he wrote a seven-page paper describing his goal
of someday owning a horse ranch. He wrote about his dream
in great detail and he even drew a diagram of a 200-acre
ranch, showing the location of all the buildings, the
stables and the track. Then he drew a detailed floor plan
for a 4,000-square-foot house that would sit on a 200-acre
dream ranch.
“He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the
next day he handed it in to his teacher. Two days later he
received his paper back. On the front page was a large
red F with a note that read, `See me after class.’
“The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after class
and asked, `Why did I receive an F?’
“The teacher said, `This is an unrealistic dream for a
young boy like you. You have no money. You come from an
itinerant family. You have no resources. Owning a horse
ranch requires a lot of money. You have to buy the land.
You have to pay for the original breeding stock and later
you’ll have to pay large stud fees. There’s no way you
could ever do it.’ Then the teacher added, `If you will
rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will
reconsider your grade.’
“The boy went home and thought about it long and hard. He
asked his father what he should do. His father said, `Look,
son, you have to make up your own mind on this. However, I
think it is a very important decision for you.’ “Finally,
after sitting with it for a week, the boy turned in the
same paper, making no changes at all.
He stated, “You can keep the F and I’ll keep my dream.”
Monty then turned to the assembled group and said, “I tell
you this story because you are sitting in my
4,000-square-foot house in the middle of my 200-acre horse
ranch. I still have that school paper framed over the
fireplace.” He added, “The best part of the story is that
two summers ago that same schoolteacher brought 30 kids to
camp out on my ranch for a week.” When the teacher was
leaving, he said, “Look, Monty, I can tell you this now.
When I was your teacher, I was something of a dream
stealer. During those years I stole a lot of kids’ dreams.
Fortunately you had enough gumption not to give up on
yours.”
“Don’t let anyone steal your dreams. Follow your heart, no
matter what.”

"Can You Turn Adversity Into Advantage?"
Weakness or Strength?
by: Author Unknown
Sometimes your biggest weakness can become your biggest
strength. Take, for example, the story of one 10-year-old
boy who decided to study judo despite the fact that he
had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.
The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master.
The boy was doing well, so he couldn't understand why,
after three months of training the master had taught him
only one move.
"Sensei," the boy finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning
more moves?"
"This is the only move you know, but this is the only move
you'll ever need to know," the sensei replied.
Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the
boy kept training.
Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first
tournament. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his
first two matches. The third match proved to be more
difficult, but after some time, his opponent became
impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to
win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now
in the finals.
This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more
experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be
overmatched. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the
referee called a time-out. He was about to stop the match
when the sensei intervened.
"No," the sensei insisted, "Let him continue."
Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical
mistake: he dropped his guard. Instantly, the boy used his
move to pin him. The boy had won the match and the
tournament. He was the champion.
On the way home, the boy and sensei reviewed every move in
each and every match. Then the boy summoned the courage to
ask what was really on his mind.
"Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?"
"You won for two reasons," the sensei answered. "First,
you've almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in
all of judo. And second, the only known defense for that
move is for your opponent to grab your left arm."
The boy's biggest weakness had become his biggest strength.

"Exposed -Here Are The Secrets To Reaching Your Most Secret Desire"
Just Keep Planting
By: Adam Khan
When Paul was a boy growing up in Utah, he happened to
live near an old copper smelter, and the sulfur dioxide
that poured out of the refinery had made a desolate
wasteland out of what used to be a beautiful forest. There
was nothing living there-no animals, no trees, no grass, no
bushes, no birds-nothing but 14,000 acres of black and
barren land that even smelled bad. Paul vowed that someday
he would bring back the life to this land.
Many years later when Paul was in the area, he went to the
smelter office. He asked if they had any plans to bring the
trees back. The answer was no. He asked if they would let
him try to bring the trees back. Again, the answer was no.
They didn't want him on their land. He realized he needed
to be more knowledgeable before anyone would listen to him,
so he went to college to study botany. At the college he
met a professor who was an expert in Utah's ecology.
Unfortunately, this expert told Paul that the wasteland he
wanted to bring back was beyond hope. He was told that his
goal was foolish and that it would take approximately
20,000 years to re-vegetate that six-square-mile piece of
earth.
He tried to go on with his life, but his dream would not
die. One night he got up and took some action; he did what
he could with what he had. This was an important turning
point. As Samuel Johnson wrote, "It is common to overlook
what is near by keeping the eye fixed on something remote.
In the same manner, present opportunities are neglected and
attainable good is slighted by minds busied in extensive
ranges." Paul stopped busying his mind in extensive ranges
and looked at what opportunities for attainable good were
right in front of him. Under the cover of darkness, he
sneaked out into the wasteland with a backpack full of
seedlings and started planting. For seven hours he planted
seedlings.
He did it again a week later. And every week, he made his
secret journey into the wasteland and planted trees and
shrubs and grass. But most of it died. For 15 years he did
this. When a whole valley of his fir seedlings burned to
the ground because of a careless sheep-herder, Paul broke
down and wept. Then he got up and kept planting. Freezing
winds and blistering heat, landslides and floods and fires
destroyed his work time and time again. But he kept
planting.
One night he found a highway crew had come and taken tons
of dirt for a road grade, and all the plants he had
painstakingly planted in that area were gone. But he just
kept planting. Week after week, year after year he kept at
it, against the opinion of the authorities, against the
trespassing laws, against the devastation of road crews,
against the wind and rain and heat...even against plain
common sense. He just kept planting.
Slowly, very slowly, things began to take root. Then
gophers appeared. Then rabbits. Then porcupines. The old
copper smelter eventually gave him permission, and later,
as times were changing and there was political pressure to
clean up the environment, the company actually hired Paul
to do what he was already doing. They provided him with
machinery and crews to work with. Progress accelerated.
Today, the place is 14,000 acres of trees and grass and
bushes, rich with elk and eagles, and Paul Rokich has
received almost every environmental award Utah has. He
says, "I thought that if I got this started, when I was
dead and gone people would come and see it. I never thought
I'd live to see it myself!" It took him until his hair
turned white, but he managed to keep that impossible vow he
made to himself as a child.
What was it you wanted to do that you thought was
impossible? Paul's story sure gives a perspective on
things, doesn't it? The way you get something accomplished
in this world is to just keep planting. Just keep working.
Just keep plugging away at it one day at a time for a long
time, no matter who criticizes you, no matter how long it
takes, no matter how many times you fall.
Get back up again. And just keep planting.

The World of Alpha - Get your Free Alpha mp3
For many years the psychology field assumed it was impossible for a person to drop voluntarily down to alpha and retain conscious thinking control.
Alpha is the state where your brain rhythm tends to “centre” around 10 cycles per second (cps).
It was always assumed that once a person entered alpha (like the daydream state), they would be unable to direct their thoughts and probably fall asleep. This was until Jose Silva demonstrated otherwise. He proved conclusively that people could operate consciously in alpha and retain control of their thinking at the same time. These days there are people who can drop down to a lower level of Theta (3-7cps) - and still maintain conscious control! There are even a handful of people who can drop down to mind-awake-body-asleep in delta!
What is happening at this level is that your conscious and your subconscious mind are operating simultaneously, giving you an increase in mental capacity and opening up your 6th sense. Women tend to use both brain hemispheres when solving problems which may give them extra intuitive capacity.
It was also discovered that a person could drop to alpha with their eyes open (you do this when you daydream) which offered another major advantage for the business executive.
But to all intents and purposes the alpha state is considered to be similar to a light self-hypnotic state. At least the outcome with regard to positive and habit-transforming programming is the same.
The biggest overall advantage in business, of getting your right intuitive brain fully operational, is the ability to “intuitively know” what the other person is thinking and what their real objections are. Not their “professed” objections but the real unspoken ones. By using a special alpha technique, you can actually pre-program to find out what it is they really want in advance. This gives the businessman or woman a tremendous advantage when the actual “crunch” time comes!
And it is an observable fact that those who practice alpha/theta techniques tend to progress quickly up through the ranks - all else being equal.
The reason - you have developed mind powers that others simply do not have. And if you use these regularly you have a massive advantage that others are totally unaware of. This is why most mind-course graduates seldom ever mention their training to outsiders. They are usually told during their mind-course, instructional program to keep it to themselves.
And it makes sense ...... because mind-power knowledge is an exclusive club!
The whole field of mind-power in the western world is in its infancy. And because it will make a lot of people nervous there will not be too much media education about it. It will creep up on us in the same manner that computers have.
Ignore this emerging field at your own peril!!!

Why Good Vibrations Create A Better World
In his book 'Power vs Force', David Hawkins calibrates people's emotions from levels 20 up to 1000. 20 being Shame which is perilously proximate to death. It’s destructive to emotional and psychological health, and makes us prone to physical illness.
At the other end of the scale at 700- 1000 is enlightenment. This is the level of the Great Ones such as Krishna, Buddha and Jesus. It is the peak of the evolutionary consciousness in the human realm.
All levels (which could be classed as vibration levels) below 200 are said to be energy draining, and below integrity. These vary from Guilt (30), Grief (75), Fear (100) up to Pride (175).
People feel positive as they reach Pride level. However Pride feels good only in contrast to the lower levels. Pride is defensive and vulnerable because it’s dependent upon external conditions, without which is can suddenly revert to a lower level.
At the 200 level, power first appears. Courage (200) is the zone of exploration, accomplishment, fortitude, and determination. People at this level put back into the world as much energy as they take; at the lower levels, populations as well as individuals drain energy from society without reciprocating.
Further levels include willingness (310), Acceptance (350) and Love (500).
This level is characterized by the development of a Love that is unconditional, unchanging, and permanent. It doesn’t fluctuate – its source isn’t dependent on external factors. Loving is a state of being. This is the level of true happiness.
Interesting facts from the book -
* The concept and theories behind these experiments were conducted over a 20 year period using a variety of Kinesiology tests and examinations.
* Kinesiology has an almost certain 100% accuracy reading every time. It will always reveal Yes, No, True, and False answers.
* Collective Consciousness: These experiments reveal that there is a higher power that connects everything and everyone.
* Everything calibrates at certain levels from weak to high including books, food, water, clothes, people, animals, buildings, cars, movies, sports, music etc.
* 85% of the human race calibrates below the critical level of 200.
* The overall average level of human consciousness stands at 207.
* Human consciousness was dangling at below the 200 level (190) for many centuries before it suddenly rose up to its present level some time in the mid 1980s. Hence Nostradamus’s end of the world predictions may have been avoided (he made his predictions at a time when human consciousness was at below the 200 level). For the world to stay at levels below 200 over a prolonged period of time would cause a great imbalance that would undoubtedly lead to the destruction of all humanity.
* The power of the few individuals at the top counterbalances the weakness of the masses.
* 1 individual at level 300 counterbalances 90,000 individuals below level 200
* 1 individual at level 500 counterbalances 750,000 individuals below level 200
* 1 individual at level 700 counterbalances 70 million individuals below level 200
In other words, as a co creator of the world, if you vibrate at 200 and above you will be helping to raise the consciousness of mankind, and be a big part in creating a better world for everyone.

* 1 individual at level 300 counterbalances 90,000 individuals below level 200
* 1 individual at level 500 counterbalances 750,000 individuals below level 200
* 1 individual at level 700 counterbalances 70 million individuals below level 200
In other words, as a co creator of the world, if you vibrate at 200 and above you will be helping to raise the consciousness of mankind, and be a big part in creating a better world for everyone.
